More accurate rainfall information can tell us where and when devastating droughts may occur.
Measure rain, hail, and snow
CoCoRaHS volunteers record and share local precipitation & condition reports. This information can be used for your farm management, community planning, and to better predict severe drought.
Report drought impacts
The NDMC collects reports from individuals and the news media about drought impacts in their area. Regular reports (monthly or quarterly) and repeat photography tell a powerful story about what impacts mattered and can be used by the Drought Monitor authors.
